Katie Peregoy, Director

Katie has a Bachelors of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and Business Administration from Stevenson University and has been working in the field since 2004.  She is 90-hr certified, First Aid and CPR certified and has numerous hours of continuing education.  She has been with GULC since March, 2010.

 

Julie Hughes, 3/4′s Teacher

Julie has an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Frederick Community College. She attended Towson State College and has over 30 years of experiece in the field of education. Julie is 90-hr certified, First Aid and CPR certified and has countless hours of continuing education. She has been with GULC since its opening in March 2002.

 

Shirley Sharrer, 2/3′s Teacher

Shirley has over 30 years of experience and practice in the field of Early Childhood Education. She is 90-hr certified, First Aid and CPR certified and has countless hours of continuing education. Shirley has been with GULC since May, 2003.

 

 

Jacquelyn Perry, 2/3′s  and afternoon 4′s Assistant

Jackie has four years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education. She is First Aid and CPR certified and has 35 hours of continuing education. Jackie has been with GULC since August, 2009.

 

 

Amanda Kesler, Afternoon 4′s class

Amanda has experience in family daycare. She attended Frostburg State College for two years and is finishing her degree in Early Childhood Education at Carroll Community College. Amanda joined GULC November, 2010 and has 30 hours of continuing education.

 

 

Sara Elburn, 3/4′s Assistant

Sara joined GULC with experience as a Nanny and has 40 hours of continuing education. She is working towards a degree in Education at Carroll Community College, she joined GULC September, 2010.

 

 

Melissa Evans, 2 & 3 Year old Preschool Teacher

Melissa joined GULC as a substitute in February 2012. She has prior experience in a child care setting and has taken several classes in an effort to obtain her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Carroll Community College. She was hired as a preschool teacher in September 2012.

 

Billie Jo (BJ) Thompson, 2 & 3 Year old Preschool Assistant

BJ joined GULC as a substitute in March 2011. She recently enrolled in Frederick Community College to further her education in the child care field. She was hired as an assistant teacher in September 2012.

 

Elizabeth (Beth) Hogg, School-Age Teacher

Beth joined GULC in February 2012 as a substitute. She was hired as the School-Age teacher in October 2012. She attended Frostburg State College where she earned her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. She has over 10 years of experience in the childcare field.
